6 weeks..... Time Flies

Wow, well my baby is already 6 weeks old and I am going back to work in just 10 days.  I cannot believe how fast the time has gone.  I have loved spending so much time with him, and I feel very lucky that when I do go back to work I have friends and family to leave him with instead of putting him in daycare.  I hope that we can manage to keep it that way.  He is getting so big and starting to develop his personality.  He has started smiling and cooing a little bit.  I will be sending out birth announcement soon,  if you want one please make sure to leave me your address if I don't already have it.

Almost Done!!

Ok, so I haven't posted much during my pregnancy but let me be honest....  I have been really tired and just getting the stuff done around the house and working has been enough for me most days.  I am 32 weeks now and cannot believe that in just 2 short months there will be a baby boy joining our family.  The nursery is 98% done, I just have a few finishing touches to put on it and then I will post a picture.  

We went to SLC for a shower last weekend that my older sister threw for us, and most of my cousins and aunts were able to come.  It was so great to see everyone and meet the new arrivals that have come already this year.  It was a nice trip to take before I stop traveling for the rest of the pregnancy.  I will stay home now until delivery and then travel some while I am off work on leave this summer.  

We recently adopted a puppy, she is a chocolate lab, golden retriever mix and she looks just like a black lab. Her name is Harley and she is hilarious.  She has more energy than any 10 people I know but she is a good girl and is learning fast.  She does love to snuggle and play and I try to spend time with her everyday so that she is used to the contact with people and will be good with kids.  She has a big personality and I love it.  

Happy Mothers Day to those moms out there that have had such an impact on my life.  You have been great examples to me and I look forward to using those lessons while raising my own family.

BOY!!!

I am so excited that we know what we are having now, I can start shopping for some cute clothes and collecting things from friends and family that they are willing to hand down to our new little guy.
Now we get to figure out what to name the little guy

Baby on the Way!!!

Ok, so it has been awhile since I posted and there really hasn't been much going on in our lives. We are both working full time and enjoying the time that we have together and the time that we get to spend with Wyatt. He will be 4 in a few months, and he is all boy. He loves superheros and anything to do with Cars or Cars 2, he also has discovered how cool dinasoaurs are and he is learning his letters and numbers.

We are expecting a new addition on July 5. We find out if it is a boy or a girl on the 20th of Feb so stay tuned for that announcement. I am been feeling pretty good lately, the first trimester was pretty easy not to much morning sickness, but I did get acid reflux and just started taking something for that. Thank goodness for small miracles, I had been throwing up a lot and it was really getting old. I am just starting to show, but not enough that I really feel pregnant, I just feel chubby, so when that changes I will post some belly pictures for those of you so far away you won't have a chance to see it in person.

I am so excited and nervous about becoming a full time mom, being a step mom part time at best is not the same and I know that my life is going to change a lot when this baby comes. I know that I am ready and I am going to be a good parent but that does not change the nerves about actually meeting this little person and teaching them to be a good person. It is a good thing that I have had good examples in my own parents and siblings. Thank you everyone that has influenced my life and will in turn influence the way that my child grows up.

I promise I will post more often as the due date gets closer so that my friends and family can enjoy this journey with us. I love you guys.
